12 August Bullet Journal Page Ideas
Keep your bullet journal fresh!
I love the start of a new month because it allows me to reinvent my bullet journal layout. August makes me think of lots of summer goodness I can incorporate into my page decoration.
Check out my huge list of Summer Doodle Ideas you can use in your bujo.
Add them to your monthly cover page, monthly calendar, weekly calendar, trackers, and daily pages.

You can create an entire monthly theme or make each page unique - that’s my favorite thing about bullet journaling.
I also rounded up some of favorite pages and layout ideas for inspiration.
12 August Bullet Journal Page Ideas
#1. Narwhal Page Spread
August is a whale of a tale in this bujo monthly layout from nerdy.flamingo! On the left side of the spread is an adorable Narwhal swimming in the ocean (BTW if you don’t know the Narwhals song you are missing out) under an August header. Floating in the waves is a monthly at-a-glance calendar.
On the right side of the page is a minimalist vertical calendar listing the days of the month along with abbreviated days of the week. This simple calendar provides quick info for upcoming events such as vacation, pay days, birthdays, and weddings.
#2. Fruity Fun
Inspired by watermelons and pineapples, b.bulletjournal’s August monthly page spread does not disappoint! It’s loaded with vibrantly colored doodles that accent a monthly calendar, habit tracker, to do list, and goals.
#3. Floral Wreath
Korrissadoeshair went all out with color on her August cover page! A wreath of flowers surrounds a scripted August title. I’m going to have to try this in an upcoming cover page.
#4. Two-Color Page Theme
If you want to give your bujo page an instant theme, choose two colors and use them for all decorations on that page. Capitaine_bujo did just that by decorating the page with green and orange hand lettering, stars, florals, and even some thin washi tape.
#5. Buntings & Banners
August is a banner month for letteringbypatricia! It’s her birthday and what better way to celebrate than with a festive bullet journal page. This weekly spread has banners across the top and colorful confetti washi tape along the bottom.
#6. Get Scrappy
Can you combine scrapbooking and bullet journaling? Yes and it works well! Not only are you tracking your current life, you’re also making a memory keeper. Bujo.byandi provides a good example of scrapbooking-style bujo with doodles, motivational phrases, washi tape, photographs, and stickers.
Give this style of bullet journaling a try - I’d love to hear how it works for you.
#7. Bicycle Made for Two
Get creative with your cover page. The_duskywierdo made a beautiful tandem bike in black ink below her monthly calendar and then used watercolor to color the page. Inspiring!
#8. Golden Sunflowers
Sunflowers are in full bloom in August so madebyanna chose to highlight them in this happy bullet journal spread. Using just three colors yellow, orange, and a hit of green made this a beautifully themed weekly page.
#9. Hydrangea Heaven
I love the clean lines of a black and white page so I had to include planningmindfully’s August weather page. It’s a monthly calendar layout decorated with hydrangeas across the top. Large block letters spell out Aug. at the bottom of the page. The only color on the page are the aqua weather forecast icons in each daily box.
#10. Lovely Lemons
Lemons take center stage on this August bullet journal weekly spread from mastery_malaysia. Lemons are hand drawn in the center of the page and colored in shades of yellow. Then days of the week are written around the lemons with room to write appointments and tasks below each. It’s a bright yet minimalist page!
#11. Starry Nights
Clear skies of August remind us to look up at night and see the stars and planets. Sab.bujo celebrates this with a stellar August minimalist page. Cute planetary doodles accent the title while days of the week are highlighted in navy.
#12. This Too Shall Pass
August in kaylareneejournal’s weekly page is encouraged with stars, bright colors, and a motivational quote. “This too shall pass. It might pass like a kidney stone. But it will pass.” Inspiring words to get through tough times.
Her page has a section for weekly events, daily plans and notes, and to-dos.
