April Cover Pages
Here are five inspiring cover pages to start your month off on the right foot. All of these are easy to draw and could be used for other months of the year as well.
#1. I Donut Care
This April cover page from @mybujoyesterday makes me smile. Not just because I love donuts, but also because it’s a cute, colorful, and easy to draw cover page accented with the month title written in calligraphy.
#2. April Showers
April showers bring May flowers. @Stephcozza is ready for a rainy month with this blue umbrella cover page for April. I love the gradient shading on the umbrella using Tombow Dual Brush pens.
#3. Message in a Bottle
Does this folded paper boat reveal a message? This cover page from @apfelzimtmuffin_ features a drawing of a bottle with a cork topper. Inside is a swirling sea with an origami boat floating on top. Shades of blue in Ecoline Brush pens create the gradient ocean.
#4. Spring Flowers
April makes me think of budding spring flowers so I adore this easy to make cover page created by @mashaplans. April is written in the center of the page with a rectangle surrounding it. Then simple and pretty flowers and greenery are drawn around the box and colored in using Tombow Dual Brush Pens.
#5. Hot Air Balloons
Beautiful spring weather inspires us to get outside and reach for new heights. This hot air balloon cover page from @amandarachlee does shows exactly that. Eight hot air balloons in various sizes feature unique designs and seem to float across the page. Color them in using Crayola Markers.
April Monthly Spreads
#1. Pretty Pastels
This monthly calendar spread from @petitelano is light, bright, and pretty which is perfect for April. The monthly header was written in calligraphy and highlighted in pink. Cherry blossoms adorn the page and continue with the pink theme along with the quote, “happiness blooms from within.”
A green highlighter accents all of the days of the month while a pink marker calls out important meetings and tasks.
#2. Bees and Honey
This sunny yellow monthly page spread is perfect for April. It features bees and honeycombs and lots of yellow accents.
#3. Koi Fish
This is a stunning April monthly calendar page created by @constancechel. It features koi fish swimming around the page. There are beautiful flowers accenting the spread as well while the calendar itself is clean and simple.
#4. Easter Monthly Spread
Easter lands on April 12th this year so an Easter monthly spread is perfect. This one created by @roosastudies features a bunny, Easter egg, and flowers. In addition to the monthly calendar are goals for YouTube subscribers and Instagram followers.
#5. Beautiful Botanicals
Clara @themansistudio says she’s been obsessed with palm decor and it inspired this lively green monthly spread filled with palm leaves. The page on the left is an April at-a-glance calendar.
The page on the right is a vertical monthly calendar with the days of the week and dates written in columns down the left hand side. It’s used to record important dates for the month.
April Weekly Pages
#1. Wisteria
You don’t need to be a skilled artist to create an absolutely stunning weekly spread like @lettermeprtty.cyn did here. This page is dripping with wisteria but if you take a closer look at the design elements, they are simply squiggles of pink, purple, and lavender accented by green squiggles to create the leaves. Quick and easy to create with gorgeous results.
Large block letters signify the days of the week, while the dates are written below each letter. An at-a-glance monthly calendar is drawn in the upper left corner for quick reference.
#2. Happy Flowers
This weekly page from @spocreative.co makes me smile. After all of the winter spreads we’ve been seeing for month, this spread is a reminder that sunny days are ahead. I love the bright shades of red, orange, yellow, and green created using Tombow Dual Brush Pens.
Flowers fill the glass jars featured on this spread while single flowers decorate all of the weekly blocks. A lively calligraphy font is used to write the April header, days of the week headers, as well as to-do and next week planning boxes.
#3. Superstar
This star-themed spread from @kathrynn.lynn is so motivating and invigorating I may be using it in my own bullet journal sooner rather than later. I’ve been listening to motivational speakers such as Mel Robbins and Gary Vaynerchuk lately and this theme goes right along with the kick-in-the-butt motivation I like to listen to.
There are big bright yellow stars at the top of each day-of-the-week block accented by tiny stars and circles along the top and bottom of the spread. At long the bottom there’s a quote by Walt Disney, “If you can dream it, you can do it!”
What are your dreams and goals?
#4. 90’s Theme
Bright colors and geometric shapes are a great way to create a 90s theme in your bullet journal like @rians_creations did here. She used girly colors such as bright yellow, orange, tangerine, and pink to create the day-of-the-week headers as well as to color in the funky designs around the page. This is an easy to replicate April weekly spread you should try.
#5. Petite and Pretty Flowers
This clean and almost minimalist weekly spread by definitelybeautiful_bujo is accented by light and pretty floral doodles. There are a few flower doodles next to the April header and larger floral drawings below each day-of-the-week column.
The page was drawn first using a Sakura Micron Pen, then the flowers were colored in using Zebra Mildliners.
April Habit Trackers
#1. Charted Habit Tracker
One of the biggest benefits of a bullet journal is you can record and track only the information that is important to YOU. @Studyingstatues has created a charted tracker to record all of the changes/goals she’d like to reach this month.
Habits include clean desk, journaling, poem, no spend, exercise, no sugar drinks, healthy eats, kept in touch, skin care, shampoo, lip care, happy/had fun, and nature time.
Make a list of the habits you’d like to improve this month and then start tracking them!
#2. Butterfly Habit Tracker
Beautiful Monarch butterflies accent this April monthly habit tracker page by @bujo.steph. The butterflies are drawn in black and colored in using orange and yellow markers. A white pen is used to highlight the wings.
This habit tracker page uses small monthly calendars to track read, no spend, bed by 12, exercise, water, and headaches.
#3. Circle Habit Tracker
Circle trackers are a really fun way to log your habits for the month. Get this Helix circle maker to create your own. This April tracker includes Instagram, sleep, workout, hair, read, and run.
A bit of galaxy washi tape at the top of the page creates a lovely theme, while the phrase, “make yourself proud” is a good motivation to look at daily is written at the bottom of the page.
#4. Marvel-ous Monthly Tracker
@Kaylizaa created an April spread for both mood tracker and habit tracker using a Marvel Comics theme. Her debate is over who she loves more, Iron Man or Captain America.
She includes doodles and shields for the characters. Her monthly habit trackers include make bed, devotional, clean, exercise, journal, and post.
#5. Spring Chicks Trackers
This April tracker features just two items to log for the month sleep and sports. Each tracker takes up an entire page with the days of the month written down the left-hand side. Across the top of the pages are the durations for sleep and sports.
Along the bottom of the page are some sweet April drawings featuring a spring chick, green grass, and Easter eggs.
April Mood Trackers
#1. Easter Egg Mood Tracker
Track your mood for the month while you decorate an Easter egg! This April mood tracker created by @roosastudies features one large egg divided into 30 decorative sections. Moods include super, happy, normal, sad, stressed, and tired. They are colored in using cheerful Easter-inspired shades.
#2. Alice in Wonderland
This is such a creative monthly mood tracker. @Haru.bujo used an Alice In Wonderland theme for this April mood page. In the background you’ll see silhouettes of the Queen of Hearts, the White Rabbit, his pocket watch, flamingos and a croquet mallet, and roses. Quotes from the movie include, “off with her head!” and “we’re painting the roses red!”
The actual tracker is made up of the suits in a deck of cards. Easy-to-draw hearts, spades, clubs, and diamonds.
#3. Banner Mood Tracker
Here’s an easy to create mood tracker created by @mylimebujo. Three swaggy horizontal lines are drawn across the spread. Then banners (simple triangles) are drawn for each day of the month. One thing I noticed about tracker is that there is a really wide variety of mood options to choose from. That allows for a very colorful page showing all of your daily moods in a colorful way.
#4. Cherry Blossoms
Spring blossom petals provide perfect mood trackers. @Unni.plans created a cherry blossom themed mood tracker for April. The thirty petals falling from the tree are the mood trackers. Moods include happy, normal, stressed, sad, and angry.
#5. Umbrella Mood Tracker
April showers bring May flowers. April puts us into the thick of rainy days. Why not celebrate it with a mood tracker like this one created by @aribelle_bujo. Dark clouds top the page, then thirty umbrellas are drawn for each day of the month. The background is very rainy with lots of rain-drop lines and blue to fill it all in. Each day, an umbrella is filled in based on the mood.
