15 Bullet Journal Plant Theme Spreads
I love plants so of course, I love to doodle them as well.
In fact, I’ve written other blog posts on this topic including How to Draw Cute Plant Doodles, Succulent Doodles You Can Draw, and How to Draw Flower Doodles.
Plants make a great addition to your bullet journal pages!
In this post, you’ll show you lots of ways you can incorporate plants into your bujo on cover pages, weekly and monthly spreads, habit trackers, mood trackers and more.
15 Plant Themed Bullet Journal Page Ideas
#1. Grow Your Instagram Following
The best way to reach your goals is by focusing on them. @Withkx wanted to grow her Instagram following so she made it a priority and tracked her progress. This Instagram growth tracker was created by making fifteen plant filled vases and pots with goals written on each. Looking at her 18k+ followers now, I’d say this plan worked!
#2. Favorites of the Month
Create a time capsule right in your bullet journal with a “favorites of the month” page. It will be great to look back on months and even years later to see what you loved at that point in your life. The log is decorated with beautiful yet easy to make botanics. The favorites include song, film, skin care, purchase, app, tv-series, accessory, make-up, must-have, nail polish, place, and tv show.
What are some of your favorites you want to log each month?
#3. Minimalist Plant Page
This plant themed weekly spread from @svennimoneypenny has a minimalist vibe in all black and white. Sophisticated potted plants decorate each day of the week with the day of the week and date written on each pot. There are also four plants across the top of the right page with “this is week 47” written on the pots.
#4. Word a Day
@Bulletsandconfetti created a word-a-day spread in her bullet journal. This is a spread I don’t see as often as spreads such as mood trackers, but people who make word-a-day pages seem to make them month after month. This word-a-day spread features cacti to decorate the spread along with a quote, “Life may give you a cactus but you don’t have to sit on it.”
#5. I Have Plants this Weekend
@Apfelzimtmuffin_ created a plant theme for both her cover page and monthly calendar page. The cover page is a jar terrarium filled with pebbles and green plants. The monthly page is decorated with succulents and has the phrase, “I have plants this weekend,” written across the bottom of the page.
#6. Water Plants
This monthly mood tracker spread from @byclairee is so creative! There are plant doodles for every day of the month. Rather than coloring in the plant using various shades of green, this mood tracker uses only blue marker for moods. The planters are filled in each day with a little water for a not-so-good day and lots of water for a great day.
#7. Terrariums
Sweet terrariums hang from the bottom of this monthly calendar created by @star_journals. Stars decorate the page and the quote, “wherever life plants you, bloom with grace.” These plant-filled terrariums are so cute and easy to replicate. Try making them in your next bullet journal theme.
#8. Greenery Wreath
Here’s a monochromatic monthly cover page designed by @sophiesbulletjournal. It’s made by creating overlapping circles in the center of the page. Then using Tombow Brush Pens in various shades of green, create leaves around the wreath. It’s a lovely cover page that will work for any month of the year.
#9. Hanging Plants
@Tiny_quail created an excellent example of a plant theme in her bullet journal. If you scroll through the image above, you’ll see the plant theme carried throughout the entire month. It starts with a monthly cover page, then you’ll find a habit tracker, monthly spread, mood tracker, and weekly spreads. Potted plants and hanging plants decorate the pages. I can’t wait to try this theme in my own bullet journal.
#10. Mood Wheel
@X.plantbujo shows us a simple and easy-to-make mood tracker that isn’t short on style! Draw a wheel and divide it sections for each day of the month. Number the sections and then color in each day based on your mood. Stabilo Boss markers in bright colors are used for the moods happy, content, meh, and sad. In the center of the wheel draw a cute potted plant and color it in using the same markers for a coordinated look.
#11. Stickers and Washi
You don’t have to be an artist to create a plant themed bullet journal theme. Use plant stickers and washi tape the way @scanoodlebujo did here.
#12. Finances
No matter what page you create in you bullet journal, it can have cute plant theme. This finance page by @sophiesbulletjournal is decorated with hanging plants at the top and potted plants a the bottom. It reminds me of a sunny plant-filled window sill.
#13. Botanical Cover
This plant themed monthly cover page by @frayedknotdecor is easy to draw and works for any month of the year. The name of the month is written in a decorative font in the center of the page. Then, horizontal lines are drawn above and below that. Draw greenery and flowers coming off of the lines and then fill in using your theme colors.
#14. Bright and Colorful
Want to go all out with your bullet journal cover page? Create a bright and colorful plant theme like this one from @bujo_artichaut. The lively page has the month written in calligraphy along with a small at-a-glance calendar. The rest of the page is decorated with hanging plants, terrariums, potted plants, dragonflies and butterflies. Finally, it’s colored in using Stabilo Boss and Mildliner markers - just lovely!
#15. Desk
The last plant example is from @bujoingwithpoleen. The cover page on the left features a sweet drawing of a desk. There’s a stack of books lined up in one corner of the desk and a plant on the other corner. Up above the desk are hanging plants. They all look so cute against the sunny yellow wall.
The page on the right is the monthly page along with trackers and to do list. One hanging plant continues the plant theme across the spread.
