When I first started blogging, I signed up with a blog hosting company that controlled everything about my website.

I hated it.

They told me with for any change I wanted to make on my site, I’d need to wait weeks for them to make the updates.

And, they charged me every time I made a change to the site.

Plus, if I didn’t like the change, I needed to pay again for them to change it back!

After about two months and a lot of frustration, I was done with this system.

I needed a DIY blog that I could update, change templates, or post any time of day or night.

ON MY OWN.

WHENEVER I WANTED.

I fired the hosting company and moved my website to a new platform. Since then, I’ve controlled every aspect of my blog and I can make changes as often as I’d like.

And throughout this journey, I’ve discovered that many other creative bloggers are also DIY control freaks just like me.

You want to be able to control and make changes to your site on your own terms.
